AMDP
The Asset Monitor Development Platform (AMDP) allows development engineers to rapidly configure prototype monitoring equipments, using a variety of sensor and communication technologies including the following functions:
- The logging of asset status information from: accelerometers, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), and still images (VGA/QVGA resolution, and Bitmap/JPEG formats).
- Machine to Machine (M2M) communication over the GPRS network, and short to medium range radio communication using MircrelNetTM.
- Software for control messaging and status reporting over SMS, TCP/IP sockets, and SMTP/POP3 email services (with JPEG attachements).
- An advanced power management system that controls power to all devices, and can switch the eCOG1K into an idle state with exceptionally low power consumption.
The AMDP hardware architecture is based on a motherboard / daughterboard structure. The motherboard supports the eCOG1K processor, and each daughter card enables a specific technology (e.g. GPRS communication, radio communication, GPS positioning, imaging, and accelerometer readings). The use of individual daughter cards allows multiple and new technologies to be rapidly integrated into the AMDP.
The board is driven by the Cy-Solved Modular Software Environment.
| AMDP-eCOG1kMB | Motherboard |
| AMDP-Analogue1 | Analogue and accelerometer daughterboard module |
| AMDP-CAM-OV1 | Omnivision camera daughterboard module |
| AMDP-GPRS-Sonyeric1 | Sony-Ericsson GPRS module |
| AMDP-GPS-iTrax1 | iTrax GPS daughterboard module |
The AMDP is a sophisticated tool that can be configured to a customer's bespoke needs by a Cyan applications engineer before shipping, according to the mix and match of features required.
