USB / Ethernet-Solved™
As well as separately supporting USB and Ethernet connectivity on its microcontrollers with drivers and protocols, Cyan provides the ability to quickly and easily develop applications that require both.
Cyan uniquely offers this functionality in both microcontroller devices and ready to use production modules.
Through the world class toolchain and IDE CyanIDE®2, it can be incorporated into a design with little or no understanding required of the underlying complexity. In the graphical environment, one simply drags the peripheral driver on to the device "canvas" and configures it in the property editor.
Using the USB/Ethernet development kit , which exists in CyanIDE2 as a predefined hardware template, the following ready to go example projects are supported:
- Webserver using a USB Mass Storage Device
- FTP Server using a USB Mass Storage Device
- Webserver with FTP and a USB Mass Storage Device
Application areas include Ethernet connection to USB hosted peripherals, industrial communications and internet enabled data logging equipment.
Two microcontroller devices support both Ethernet and USB are eCOG1X14B5 in QFN100 package and eCOG1X14Z5 in 208 pin FBGA . These devices are also well provided with other serial communications interfaces which enable bridging to RS232 connections as well.
